Faith in Action: Successful Toilet and shelter renovation Project for Families in Myanmar

Faith in Action: Successful Toilet and shelter renovation Project for Families in Myanmar
Following the recent series of devastating earthquakes across Myanmar, countless families have been left homeless or living in unsafe, partially collapsed structures. The destruction has extended beyond just roofs and walls—it has affected lives, disrupted livelihoods, and stripped communities of safety, dignity, and hope.
In response to this crisis, the Christian Outreach Centre Foundation launched a two-fold humanitarian initiative:
-
The Toilet Construction Project,
-
The Shelter and House Renovation Project.
Earlier this year, through the support of faithful partners and donors, we successfully constructed and donated 20 toilets across affected communities in Mandalay, Sagaing, and Yangon. This project met urgent sanitation needs, helping families regain access to clean, safe, and dignified living conditions.
Building upon that foundation, we are now extending our mission through a Shelter and House Renovation Project—repairing damaged homes and constructing temporary shelters for displaced families. This next phase focuses on restoring not only basic facilities but full, functional living spaces, prioritizing households with young children, the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities.
Both projects are deeply connected by one vision:
to rebuild lives through practical love, restore dignity through safe living environments, and reflect Christ’s compassion through every act of service.
By God’s grace and with the continued support of our partners, these efforts bring healing to broken homes, comfort to the displaced, and hope to those most in need.
Together, we are rebuilding—not just structures, but lives.
To God be the glory.

Humanitarian Food Aid Distribution at Dumping Site – Mae Sot, Tak Province

Humanitarian Aid Distribution – July 24, 2025
Location: Mae Sot Dump Site Community, Tak Province, Thailand
On July 24, 2025, our team carried out a vital humanitarian relief distribution for the resilient and tightly-knit community living in the Mae Sot dump site. This outreach reached 240 families, totaling around 400 individuals, with nearly half of them being children.
In the face of daily hardship and extreme living conditions, these families demonstrate incredible resilience, unity, and dignity. Despite working tirelessly to survive—sorting waste and collecting recyclables—they often remain unable to access enough food, clean water, or medical care.
Through the compassion of our generous sponsors, we were able to provide:
-
Nutritious food packs to ease immediate hunger
-
Mosquito nets to protect against mosquito-borne diseases
-
Gumboots for children to safely walk through hazardous terrain
This outreach was made possible by the tireless work of our local team and community leaders, who have become the hands and feet of the Lord, faithfully bringing the love of Christ through action. Their service is a living testimony of hope, mercy, and solidarity.
We thank all who share in this mission. May this be a seed of lasting transformation and a reminder that even in the most desperate places, faith, compassion, and community can bring light.

The Back to School Project: More Than Just Supplies

✨ The Back to School Project: More Than Just Supplies
With every school bag packed, every pencil placed, and every uniform folded, we saw joy sparkle in the eyes of these children. These are more than school supplies—they are tools of transformation. They carry with them the message:
“You are seen. You are valued. You are deeply loved.”
For children who have lost parents, homes, and a sense of security, this small gesture speaks volumes. It restores confidence, offers stability, and builds hope for a better future.
“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling.”— Psalm 68:5
What a comfort to know that our Heavenly Father sees each orphaned child—and cares for them intimately through the love and actions of His people.
🙌 Thank You for Being Part of the Journey
To our amazing team of volunteers—your presence, your laughter, your kind hands—brought warmth that no textbook ever could. You were the hands and feet of Christ, walking beside these little ones with care and compassion.
To our generous sponsors and prayer warriors—thank you for being the quiet strength behind every success story. You’ve sowed seeds of opportunity in a place the world often forgets.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40
💛 A Season of Joy, A Lifetime of Impact
As these 22 children step into their classrooms with fresh supplies and full hearts, we are reminded that the smallest acts of love create the biggest ripples.

Clear Vision Project – Impact Update & Ongoing Appeal

👓 Clear Vision Project – Impact Update & Ongoing Appeal
A Vision Restored. A Heart Touched. A Life Changed.
We are thrilled to share a beautiful praise report and an exciting new opportunity to continue changing lives—one pair of glasses at a time.
Through the Clear Vision Project, and by God’s grace, we’ve completed the first phase:
✅ 100 individuals—mostly elderly and persons with disabilities (PWD)—received free eye check-ups and eyeglasses during the month of May.
The results have been deeply moving. Many of them had not seen clearly in years. Some smiled through tears as they read a Bible verse again or saw their grandchild’s face clearly for the first time. This simple gift is restoring dignity, confidence, and independence.
But the story doesn’t end here…
We are now receiving a growing number of requests from nearby villages, as word spreads about this life-changing outreach. The need is greater than we imagined—and we believe God is calling us to step out in faith once again.
🎯 Our Next Goal: Reach 500 individuals by the end of September!
To do this, we need to raise 100,000 THB to cover:
-
👓 Prescription eyeglasses (both farsighted and nearsighted)
-
🚌 Transportation for elderly/PWDs to access check-up locations
-
🔎 On-site vision testing and follow-up care
“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” – Matthew 6:22
This project is about more than restoring sight—it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and faith. It’s a chance to reflect God’s love in the most practical and powerful way.

Project Update: Clean Water for Earthquake-Affected Villages Near Mandalay

🌍 Project Update: Clean Water for Earthquake-Affected Villages Near Mandalay
✅ 17 Villages Reached | 200 Filters Delivered | Thousands of Lives Impacted
We are thrilled to share a major milestone from our Living Water Project! Thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners, we’ve successfully delivered 200 water filters to 17 remote villages affected by the recent earthquake near Mandalay.
These filters are now providing clean, safe drinking water to hundreds of families—helping prevent disease, restoring dignity, and offering hope in the midst of disaster recovery.
💧 Why It Matters
In these devastated communities, access to safe water is not just a basic need—it’s a matter of survival. Each water filter:
-
Serves a family for up to 3 years
-
Removes deadly bacteria and contaminants
-
Reduces the risk of waterborne diseases
-
Costs only $15 per unit
But the true impact goes beyond health. These projects are a gateway to building trust, sharing the love of Christ, and empowering communities spiritually and practically.
📌 What’s Next: Help Us Reach 800 More Families
Our mission is far from over. We’re now focused on distributing 800 additional filters over the next few months. That’s 800 more families who will gain access to life-saving water and spiritual support.
We’re inviting 100 supporters to give $30/month—just two filters per month—to sustain this life-transforming mission.
